National Ambulance lauds emergency services in containing fire and saving lives.

Rescue teams battled a building fire late last night in UAE, which resulted in five casualties.

According to a statement issued by the National Ambulance on Monday, the Civil Defence along with paramedics and Umm Al Quwain Police, last night attended the scene of a fire at a six storey building in Umm Al Quwain’s Al Ramla area.

Five persons were injured in the fire, including three critically injured and two receiving moderate injuries. All patients were attended to on the scene and quickly transported to Sheikh Khalifa hospital among other hospitals in Umm Al Quwain for further treatment.

Once the call was received, National Ambulance Communication Centre immediately dispatched eight ambulances and two first responders – as well as activating its MCI emergency plan.

National Ambulance lauded the ACC staff in managing the incident and effectively mobilising the right resources that resulted in containing the spread of the fire and saving the lives of all patients and tenants.
