Vishal Patel, an Indian-origin investment banker who shifted from London to UAE, sacrificed a job worth crores to serve in the temple. Now he will serve at the newly constructed Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) temple in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Let us tell you that he has also previously served in the temple of London.
He served the temple here as a volunteer for many years. After this he remained associated with the investment banking sector for a long time. Now again he has decided to serve the temple.
Let us tell you that recently Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the temple in Abu Dhabi. This temple is built on 27 acres of land. This temple built in Nagar style is very grand. Vishal Patel was associated with this temple in some way or the other since shifting from UK to UAE. He was also handling the task of welcoming the guests at the inauguration program on 14th February. Now he will work as the Chief Communication Officer in the temple and will handle many responsibilities of the temple.
Let us tell you that Vishal Patel’s family belongs to Gujarat. Although he was born in London only. He moved to UAE in 2016 and then started working with Dubai International Financial Centre. Patel said while talking to Khaleej Times, our family started living in UAE since 2016. Earlier my career was my priority. However, this temple built in UAE had a great impact on me and gave me a different identity. Now I have an opportunity to serve the temple and I don’t want to lose it.
His family also remained associated with the BAPS temple in London. Patel said, I was also active in the construction of the temple and now I have a chance to serve in it. I saw the arrangements in the temple ranging from installing barbed wire for security to feeding the guests.
There are many people like me who want to give their lives to the temple. Let us tell you that Vishal Patel took a degree in Economics from London University. While working in the temple of London, he met a person named Merrill Lynch who advised him to try his hand in the investment banking industry. After this he started moving towards the heights of his career. Now he has decided to leave his job worth crores and turn towards spirituality again.
