Reuters news agency quoted, today, Thursday, an informed source who participated in a dialogue with government officials, as saying that the United States is studying the sale of F35 “stealth” fighter jets to the UAE in a side agreement, after the peace agreement between the UAE and Israel.

The agency stated that the deal to sell the aircraft, which could reduce Israel’s military superiority in the Middle East, comes after the announcement of a historic peace agreement between the UAE and Israel, with US mediation.

The US President said in a press conference, on Wednesday, that the UAE is interested in buying the F35 fighters manufactured by “Lockheed Martin”, which Israel has already used in combat. They would like to buy the aircraft, we will see what happens, the matter is under review. ”

It could take years to negotiate the sale and delivery of the F35 fighters, while giving any new US administration enough time to stop the deal.

Poland, the newest stealth customer, has bought 32 aircraft, but will not receive the first payments before 2024. The sale of the aircraft also needs congressional approval.

The sector source said the potential sale of the jets was arranged with the help of Trump’s chief adviser and son-in-law, Jared Kushner
