Dubai: Heavy rain in UAE has affected flight services to and from Dubai. Many flights were cancelled. Some services have been diverted. 13 flights were canceled today. Five flights were diverted.
Dubai Airports has confirmed that five flights have been diverted and nine flights arriving and four departing from Dubai Airport have been cancelled.
Dubai airport authorities and airlines have asked passengers to prepare accordingly as rain and associated traffic jams are expected. Those traveling through Dubai airport, whether in private vehicles or relying on public transport systems, are advised to get off a little earlier and allow extra time to account for possible disruptions on the way.

“Guests traveling through Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Dubai Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) are advised to prepare accordingly in advance as adverse weather conditions have been notified. Smart apps that provide real-time traffic information can be used to understand things like traffic jams.
Those arriving at Dubai Metro Terminals 1 and 3 can also be used” – informed the spokesperson of Dubai Airports. Passengers should check the status of services with their respective airlines. The notice says to arrive a little earlier than usual to avoid unusual weather conditions or long queues affecting the journey.
