Riyadh: The General Authority for Statistics has launched a comprehensive agricultural survey in all regions of Saudi Arabia. It aims to collect basic and structural information on agricultural activities of plants and animals.
To prepare a database that can be relied upon by decision makers to develop plans for agricultural activities. To provide necessary statistics on agricultural activities to the researchers, learners and interested parties for use in the fields of research and scientific studies contributing to the development of agricultural activities in the country.

The authority explained that the comprehensive agricultural survey work will be done through telephone calls, self-surveys and field visits. The authority asked the concerned to complete the information of the comprehensive agricultural survey. The proposal also states that the information and data provided by citizens, residents or organizations should be kept strictly confidential and used only for statistical purposes.
