Abu Dhabi Ports Group has climbed into the world’s top 20 rankings for the first time in a new industry survey.

Abu Dhabi Ports Terminals
Abu Dhabi Ports Group currently has 33 terminals in 8 countries, including the UAE, Spain and Pakistan, 27 of which are operational, with new terminals planned to be operational in the UAE.
In 2023, Abu Dhabi Ports Group announced that container volume reached 4.91 million twenty-foot equivalent units, an increase of 13% year-on-year.
Total volumes handled at its UAE terminals increased by 6% to 4.6 million TEU.
Abu Dhabi Ports Revenues
In the second quarter of 2024, the Ports Group’s revenues increased by 83% year-on-year, reaching AED 563 million.
Abu Dhabi Ports Group leverages multi-purpose terminals as opportunities to develop new markets, with a geographic focus primarily on the Indian Subcontinent, Red Sea, Mediterranean, South Asia and Africa.
In 2023 and the first half of 2024, Abu Dhabi Ports Group signed agreements to develop and operate multi-purpose terminals in Safaga (Egypt), Pointe Noire (Republic of Congo), and Luanda (Angola). Preliminary agreements were signed to develop multi-purpose terminals in East Port Said and Sokhna in Egypt, and Chittagong in Bangladesh.
