Abu Dhabi royal family member Sheikh Hassa bin Sultan bin Zayed passes away

Abu Dhabi: Sheikh Hassa bin Sultan bin Zayed, a member of the royal family of Abu Dhabi, has passed away. Sheikh Hassa is the son of former UAE Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan who passed away in 2019. The UAE Presidential Court condoled his demise.

He was laid to rest at the Al Bateen Tomb after performing the funeral prayers at the Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed First Mosque in Abu Dhabi on Thursday. Apart from members of the royal family, senior officials and many members of the public attended the funeral prayers and burial.

Recently, Sheikh Hassa also participated in several functions attended by the heads of state of the UAE. Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed also expressed his condolences on his death through social media.

Sheikh Tahnoon, the Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Al Ain Regional Representative and the uncle of the current UAE President, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, passed away last week. The UAE then observed seven days of official mourning starting Wednesday, May 1.
