Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways is gearing up for massive recruitment. As part of expanding services in 2025, more people will be appointed in various positions like pilots, cabin crew and mechanics.

The CEO of Etihad Airways, Antonio Nieves, said that between 1,500 and 2,000 people are going to be hired. The recruitment is part of the arrival of 15 more aircraft in 2025. Pilots and flight crews will be trained in the second quarter of this year. The reason behind the decision to increase the number of flights, services and sectors is the increase in the number of passengers in 2023. The number of passengers has increased compared to 2022. In 2022, it increased from 82 percent to 86 percent.

Etihad Airways adds more services to India including Kerala in its summer schedule. A new service to India has also been announced.

The service to Thiruvananthapuram has been increased. The daily service to Thiruvananthapuram has been increased to ten a week. Apart from this, a new service to Jaipur has also been announced. Currently there are three daily services from Abu Dhabi to Kochi. With the coming of new services, about 1,000 people will get an opportunity to travel to Kerala and 1,200 people to Jaipur every week.

The new service to Jaipur will start on June 16. Initially there will be four services per week. With the addition of services to Jaipur, Etihad’s services to Indian sectors will increase to 11. It has been announced that the service to Turkey will also start on June 15. There will be 3 flights per week. Also, the number of services to various countries has been increased. Those traveling from India to other countries can also avail the connection service via Abu Dhabi.
