The criteria included that the sequence of the second round rounds is a complete reflection of the sequence of the first round rounds, and no team plays more than two consecutive rounds as a home team, or two consecutive rounds as a visiting team in one round.
The criteria also included that in the last four rounds, each team plays two matches as a home team and one as a visiting team.
The standards took into account the winter planting dates and the periodic maintenance of the approved fields in coordination with the relevant department at the Saudi Ministry of Sports.

Among the criteria for preparing the 2024-2025 Saudi Roshen League matches schedule is that the team that hosts its match in the first round will play the second round match as a guest team, or vice versa.
The criteria stressed that each participating team plays 9 matches in one round as a host team “at most”, or eight matches as a minimum.

The Saudi Professional League Competitions Committee (Saudi Roshen League) confirmed in a statement that the matches will be distributed on and off the team’s home field, so that each team plays 17 matches on its home field and 17 matches away from it, so that it plays 9 matches on its home field in one round and 8 matches in the other round, or vice versa.
The committee noted the maximum number of consecutive matches, as all clubs have a maximum limit in each round to play two consecutive matches, twice at most, whether at home or away.

The first round will be held from August 22 to 24, and the title holder, Al Hilal, will begin its title defense against Al Akhdoud.
