Among the criteria for preparing the 2024-2025 Saudi Roshen League matches schedule is that the team that hosts its match in the first round will play the second round match as a guest team, or vice versa.

The criteria stressed that each participating team plays 9 matches in one round as a host team “at most”, or eight matches as a minimum.

The criteria also took into account FIFA matches (international agenda), continental, regional and local matches, to avoid any conflict in dates, taking into account the minimum rest that must be granted to participating clubs. The committee noted the maximum number of consecutive matches, as all clubs have a maximum limit in each round to play two consecutive matches, twice at most, whether at home or away.

Matches of the first round of the Saudi Roshen League

The first round will be held from August 22 to 24, and the title holder, Al Hilal, will begin its title defense against Al Akhdoud.

The opening round includes a top-of-the-table clash between Al-Shabab and its guest Al-Ettifaq, while Al-Nassr will play the first match at home against Al-Raed, while Al-Ahli (the newly promoted team) will host Al-Orobah in Jeddah, and Al-Taawoun will face Al-Fayha in Buraidah.

Al-Ittihad Jeddah will be hosted by (the new guest in the league) Al-Khulud team, while Al-Qadisiyah (the champion of the Yelo First Division League last season) will host its competitor Al-Fateh.

Saudi Roshen League Derby Week

To add more excitement, a round of each round of the league will be dedicated to major derby matches, as part of enriching the competition.
