How is fruit juice as bad as soda?

The fruit is healthy and fruit juice is a convenient way to drink your nutrients, so what could be wrong with a daily dose of fruit juices? unfortunately, most fruits juices, organic and otherwise, flood your body with as much sugar as soda. Juicing a whole fruit into liquid requires a lot of processing. A glass of juice, with ‘pulp’ or without, organic or otherwise, is not nutritionally equivalent to whole fruit. Both have high sugar content

Fruit juices are considered as bad as soda is because of the sugar content of these beverages. Both soda and 100% fruit juice contain 110 calories and 20-26 grams of sugar per 240 ml. According to various researches, sugary drinks are linked to a higher risk of illness, such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease. Soda and juices have been grouped together because of their sugar content, however, they do not affect you the same way. Only 100% fruit juice still has nutritional benefits rather than sugar-sweetened juice.

Both may lead to weight gain

Consumption of both soda and fruit juice may increase the risk of weight gain as they are rich in calories, yet low in fibre, a nutrient that helps in reduce hunger and promotes a feeling of satiety. Drinking calories rather than eating them may increase the risk of weight gain. It is because most people do not compensate for liquid calories by eating fewer calories from other foods. Therefore, excess calories increase weight.

Health benefits of fruit juice every one is talking about

When it comes to comparing fruit juice and soda, juice contains vitamins, minerals, and essential nutrients that soda typically lacks. However, to gain the benefits of juice, make your fruit juices. Blend fruit and water with the peel on the fruit, unless it’s a banana. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, and calorie-free sugar if needed. Fruit juice contains beneficial plant compounds, such as carotenoids, polyphenols, and flavonoids, which help neutralize free radicals and reduce any risk of disease. The health benefits include improved immunity and brain function, blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

Fruit juice and soda are similar yet different in some aspects. When consumed in large quantities, they both increase the risk of obesity and illness. Both lack in fibre and are sources of sugar, however, when consumed in small amounts fruit juice remains the clear winner as it contains most vitamins and minerals.
