Changes in the rules for movement in the countries in the travel ban list

The United Arab Emirates government has changed the rules for movement in countries on the travel ban list. On Wednesday, 27 October i.e. today this change has been made in the travel rules for UAE citizens.

In view of the current corona virus situation, this decision has been taken.

The National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) and the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) have taken this decision in view of the current corona virus situation.

What is the new rule?

According to the changes made in the travel protocol, only those travelers will be allowed to travel in these countries who have taken the full dose of the recognized Covid-19 vaccines.

Those who have taken the full dose of the recognized Covid-19 vaccines will not be allowed to travel.

Who got the discount?

Students studying on UAE diplomatic missions, patients, humanitarian cases, scholarships are excluded from this rule.

What are the rules for admission?

Citizens returning to UAE from the travel ban list will have to produce a valid negative Covid-19 PCR test result with QR code done within 48 hours of departure for entry. Also Rapid PCR test done within 6 hours of departure will also be required.

Vaccinated passengers will have to undergo PCR test after entry and on day 4 and 8 also. At the same time, the passengers who have not taken the vaccine will have to undergo PCR test after admission and on the 9th day and will have to remain in quarantine for 10 days.
