  • Kathmandu There have been constant allegations against China that it affects their policies by investing in countries with weak economies. Recent examples of this are Sri Lanka (Malaysia) and Malaysia (Malaysia), where China has been instigating them against many countries on the pretext of investment. Now such a view is being seen in Nepal. The report of Global Watch Analysis claims that Nepal’s PM KP Sharma Oli is also a victim of this trick of China. The report also accuses Oli of taking bribes from China. It is alleged that Ollie’s wealth has increased rapidly. With this money, he has bought a lot of properties in other countries, in return for which he has implemented China’s business plan in Nepal.According to this report, PM Oli has an account with Mirabod Bank in Geneva, Switzerland. This account has $ 5.5 million (about Rs 41.34 crore). They have invested this amount as shares. With this, Oli and wife Radhika Shakya are earning about Rs 1.87 crore annually. According to the report, not only Nepal but China is buying many poor countries in connivance with corrupt leaders. China through these leaders first allows Chinese companies to enter these countries. It then interferes with internal matters as well. The country also implements economic policies according to its benefits.

    Serious corruption charges against Oli!

This report claimed that Oli invested in Cambodia’s telecommunications sector during its first term in 2015-16. He was assisted in this task by the then Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, V Chuntai. Cambodia Prime Minister Hoon Sen also helped in this. Apart from this, Oli has also been accused of corruption during his second term. Following the rules, he signed a contract to build a digital action room in December 2018 to Chinese telecom company Huawei.

In May 2019, Nepal Telecommunication tied up with a Hong Kong Chinese company to create a radio access network. In the same year, a deal was also signed with Chinese company JTE to install a core 4G network. Both these projects were to be completed with 130 million Euros (about 1106 crores rupees). Questions were raised over the allocation of contracts in this case. Last month, Nepal bought Corona Protective Gears and Testing Equipment at a cost of Rs 621 crore. These were mostly bad. A protest was also held in the capital Kathmandu.
