Only 13 days had elapsed since gold worth 73 lakhs was recovered from the person working as a laborer. Now once again more than 56 lakh gold has been recovered from the driver. This is the second major action of the Customs Department at Jaipur Airport this month.
According to customs officials, they suspected a passenger on Air Arabia flight number G9-435 from Sharjah at Jaipur International Airport. On this he was interrogated intensively and his clothes were searched, then the whole matter came to the fore.
Air ticket lured
During the search of the passenger, it was found that he had hidden yellow granular paste in his jeans, paint and underwear. This paste was hidden by sewing inside the clothes in a polythene pouch. The passenger told that he works as a driver in a company in Sharjah. The person who gave him this pouch got his air ticket made by the same person.
Here is the weight of the recovered gold
According to the department, it was gold, which was brought in the form of paste. The paste weighs 1133.500 grams, which is 99.50% purity gold. Its price has been estimated at Rs 56 lakh 16 thousand 492. It was confiscated under the provisions of the Customs Act 1962 and interrogation of the passenger is on.
Brought in liquid shape before
It is noteworthy that even 13 days ago, gold in liquid shape was found under the jeans, paint and undergarments of a youth in a flight from Sharjahan, whose weight was found to be one and a half kilograms. According to customs department officials, the value of the recovered gold was estimated to be around Rs 73 lakh.
