Gyms, cinemas, and other places that are re-opening in Dubai from May 27

The government has issues some guidelines around easing the restrictions starting Wednesday May 27. Here is a round of what all you need to know.

  • Free movement of residents will be between 6am to 11pm.
  • Dubai airport will open for passengers who want to come back to the UAE and for transit.
  • Gyms and fitness centers will open again. But the owners have to adhere to social distancing and constant sterilization guidelines.
  • Dubai retail shops and wholesale stores will reopen.
  • ENT Clinics and children’s health centres will be open again. Surgeries that takes about two-and-a-half hours are allowed in hospitals.
  • Cinemas will reopen with social distancing rules and sterilisation at all the time.
  • Entertainment and recreational venues like the Dubai Ice Rink and Dolphinarium will reopen.
  • All government centres like Tasheel and Amer will reopen.

General guidelines

  • All businesses should follow the new sterilisation timings.
  • Everyone should be wearing a mask at all times when stepping out from house.
  • People should always maintain a minimum of two-meter social distance from other people.

All passengers arriving in the country should follow the 14 days quarantine rule.

Children under the age of 12 and elderly people above 60 with chronic diseases are restricted to enter gyms, shopping centers, cinemas, and educational institutes.
