Dr. Mohammed Al-Zarba has been a member of the Council of Shaura since 2016. His services were recently extended for four years following a royal order to rebuild the council.

Al-Jarba received a bachelor’s degree in law from King Saud University in 1987. Six years later, he completed a master’s degree in law from American University in Washington, US. In 2001, he earned a Ph.D. In the same major from the University of Wales, UK.

In 1987, he joined the Bureau of Experts in the Council of Ministers, where he worked as a legal researcher and then as a legal expert before becoming a legal adviser. To graduate as the top student of his class, Al-Jarba was employed as a teaching assistant in the Department of Law at King Saud University. He worked as a part-time legal advisor at Shaura Parishad after the council requested his legal consulting services.

In 1999, al-Jarba established the Saudi Students Club in Aberystwyth, UK. He was also elected to preside over the club for two years. The club had a major role in creating fruitful cooperation between Saudi students and their families. It also strengthened friendly relations with British schools and universities in Aberystwyth.

Al-Jarba, who is a member of several legal committees, also served as a part-time legal advisor to several committees in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the General Investment Authority and the Saudi Telecommunications Company (STC). Where he offered legal and administrative studies.

He participated in several work teams at STC to find solutions to administrative job related issues. Al-Zarba also helped settle STC contract disputes. In addition, he provided several legal consultations to the giant telecommunications company. He also served as a part-time advisor to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology and the board director of STC.
