Dubai Airport CEO expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to passengers

Dubai: Dubai Airport CEO Paul Griffiths expressed regret for the disruption of operations at Dubai International Airport due to heavy rain and the inconvenience faced by passengers. He informed that the team at Dubai Airport is constantly working to bring the operations of the airport back to normal and all stakeholders are working together to face this crisis and ensure the welfare of the passengers.

“The heaviest rainfall ever recorded in the UAE affected the operations of the airport and caused difficulties for passengers and staff. We are working hard to ensure the well-being of our guests and return Dubai International Airport to a normal operating schedule. With the airport returning to its normal operating schedule, passengers will be able to reach their destinations as quickly as possible.

Although the current situation poses unique challenges, we are committed to restoring normal operations as soon as possible. The Dubai Airports team, airline partners, commercial partners and service providers are constantly working to resolve the issues. We are working together with patience and determination in dealing with this situation.

The flight services of Emirates Airlines and Fly Dubai, whose operations were disrupted due to rain, have resumed operations as per normal schedules, both airlines have informed.
