The initiative, inspired by the artist Sasha’s vision, aims to enhance communication between people; After the “Covid-19” epidemic; To address the negative effects of the pandemic on children and youth, to raise 110 million dirhams; ($ 30 million), to reach out to one billion people and support Dubai Cares and its partners, especially the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO); Where the three entities will launch a global initiative; To expand digital communication; To ensure a minimum continuation of the educational process, and to provide an opportunity for equitable access to distance learning for all children and youth.

It will also support the “Inspiring Humanity” initiative, the Global Gift Foundation, which will focus on its primary charitable goal; To support children’s education and well-being, targeting those most in need in light of the pandemic, and joining this initiative is partners from the government sector in the UAE, including the Ministries of Tolerance and Coexistence, Education, and the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing in Dubai.
The UAE is at the forefront of the global scene, with national initiatives, visions and programs. It contributes to spreading the culture of tolerance, coexistence and peace, building bridges of international cooperation, communication, convergence and dialogue, and building a system of Emirati moral values ​​in future generations based on the approach of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul.

Inspirational Humanity

The opportunity for change in light of the “Covid-19” pandemic was the impetus for the launch of Jefri’s “inspiring humanitarian” initiative, which came under the title: “Let’s paint the world in a different color” with its focus on the themes of “isolation” and “communication.” The initiative set an ambitious goal; To help tens of millions of children communicate. Jefrey’s pioneering art painting, named “The Journey of Humanity”, described as “the Sistine Modern Church”, will be the largest global social, artistic and charitable initiative in history. Jefri is currently preparing it in the hall of “Atlantis” The Palm in Dubai for about 20 weeks; He turned the place into the largest studio for an artist in the world. This masterpiece, due for completion on September 7, brings together the support of about 100 celebrities around the world, including: Virat Kohli, Eva Longoria, Deepak Chopra, Brooklyn Beckham, Holly Branson, Ronan Keating, Antonio Banderas, Melanie Griffiths, Shilpa Shetty , Pixi Lott, Leona Lewis, Nile Rodgers, David Williams, Katie Piper, Luis Fonsi, Kylian Mbappe, Kirsty Gallacher, Rita Ora and others.
At a time when less than half of the world’s population uses the Internet today, and in light of the great disparity that exists between industrialized and developing countries, providing connectivity has become a top priority. This new reality has urged Dubai Cares and its partners to work together. To formulate a universal declaration on communication; To enhance access to communication, to learn and improve livelihoods, as it is a right for every young person. The initiative and artist Jefri will play a pivotal role in promoting this universal declaration.
Dr. Tariq Al Gurg, CEO of Dubai Cares, said: This epidemic has forced 192 countries to close schools and universities, affecting more than 1.5 billion school-age children and youth, representing 90% of students. 60 million teachers can no longer return to the classroom either. In light of this new reality, we are pleased to cooperate with the resort “Atlantis” Dubai and the artist Jefri, with this ambitious charitable initiative. He added, “I am confident that this inspiring initiative will help us address the implications of this epidemic on education. By enhancing access to connectivity and providing children and youth around the world with the digital resources they need to continue their education. ”
The initiative will include a number of well-known partners from United Nations organizations, government agencies in the UAE, NGOs and the private sector. They will work side by side to advance its mission.
The curtain will be unveiled at the “Atlantis” resort in November 2020; Where it will extend to an area of ​​1800 square meters; That is, greater than two full football fields. Then it will be shown in the most prominent landmarks of the UAE and in some of the world’s leading museums. Upon completion of its tour, it will be divided into 60 individual pieces that are numbered, signed, indexed and hung on a frame; To be displayed in a public auction in December 2020 in cooperation with Dubai Cares, UNICEF, UNESCO and the “Global Gift” Foundation, at the Atlantis resort.
