The plan includes the development of two areas, the first is a five-kilometre sandy beach, which will be developed by Nakheel, and the second is Al-Qurm Beach, which is 1.6 kilometres long, and will be developed by Dubai Municipality.

The project preserves the site’s ecosystems and wildlife, enhancing turtle and mangrove habitats, and provides a 2-kilometre open swimming beach and a 2.5-kilometre diving area.

It provides a walkway and viewing platforms that allow integration with the surrounding environment, and allocates recreational and service areas for all age groups, taking into account the needs of people with disabilities, and connects the beach to an integrated, environmentally friendly infrastructure.

Sustainable design for Jebel Ali Beach:

The architectural design blends natural marine-inspired architecture with bohemian design using local materials, and offers investment opportunities in restaurants and entertainment centers while taking into account environmental comfort.

Global model:

The project contributes to providing a unique model for beach design worldwide, and enhances the capacity of beachgoers in line with population and tourism development.

Advanced services in Jebel Ali Beach:

The beach is provided with services and systems based on advanced technology to ensure safety and security.

It provides Wi-Fi networks, electronic screens, and advanced safety deposit boxes, uses artificial intelligence for beach rescue services, and installs more than 100 cameras to monitor the beach.

Comprehensive development:

The plan aims to develop all Dubai beaches by 100%, increase the percentage of services on public beaches by 400%, increase the length of night swimming beaches by 56%, increase the length of bicycle paths along the beaches by 285%, and increase the length of running paths by 125%.

It is noteworthy that the number of public beaches in the emirate is 8 beaches, including:

  • Jumeirah 1
  • Jumeirah 2
  • Jumeirah 3
  • Umm Suqeim 1

All of them are internationally accredited with the Blue Flag programme for their commitment to water quality standards, environmental education, environmental management, public safety and services.
