Emirates Airline: Good news for Indians going to Dubai. Emirates Airline has made a big announcement for Indian passengers. With this announcement, Indians going to Dubai will be able to get rid of long queues.
According to the information, Dubai Emirates Airline has announced approved visa on arrival for Indian passport holders. However, this facility will be available only to those Indian passengers who book with Emirates Airline. Under this, single entry visa will be obtained for a period of 14 days. After this new initiative, Indian passengers going to Dubai will be free from the hassle of long lines. The application is completed by the Dubai Visa Processing Centre.
Actually, Emirates Airline has partnered with VFS Global for UAE Visa. The new initiative will simplify this arrival process by allowing passengers to navigate through customs easily. For this, the passport must be valid for at least six months. Indian passport holders must have a US visa or green card or European Union or UK residency that is valid for at least six months.
This much will be charged
Eligible travelers have been getting the Visa on Arrival facility at UAE airports since 2017. The visa is usually stamped on the passport at the immigration counter after disembarking from the flight. The new facility allows Emirates customers to pre-arrange visas. This will make their arrival easier. The cost of this initiative started by Emirates is $47 (Rs 3894) and service charge is $18.50 (Rs 1533).
Tourism industry contributes 66 percent to UAE’s economy.
UAE has oil. But it has promoted tourism in its economy. Dubai is the fifth most popular tourist destination in the Middle East. Tourism accounts for 66 percent of the country’s economy. Indians need a visa to go here. Tourist visa for 30 or 90 days can be applied to visit Dubai for tourism or business purposes.
