The procedure to charge visitors to Dubai a visit visa of 3,000 dirhams aims to prevent visitors from using tourist visas to search for work.

The travel website “Musafer.com” explained in a statement to “Arabian Business” that travelers seeking to enter Dubai on a visit visa must have in their possession an amount of 3,000 UAE dirhams in cash, round-trip airline tickets, and proof of place of residence, especially for “individuals with low income.” Low and first-time visitors.

“Under UAE immigration rules, visitors to Dubai on a visit visa are expected to meet certain requirements,” said Riken Sheth, Assistant Vice President, Musafir.com. First, visitors should be able to provide a hotel reservation or the address of a relative. “This is only verified if immigration officials are in doubt.”

He further explained that passengers must have between 3,000 and 5,000 UAE dirhams in cash “to show sufficient funds for their stay.” The requirements are in place to ensure that visitors do not abuse the tourist visa system to exceed the permitted stay of 60 or 90 days.

“The cash requirements are specifically designed to ensure that visitors have the necessary means to support themselves during their stay,” Sheth added. “This measure aims to prevent visitors from using tourist visas to search for work, thus preserving the integrity of the visa systems in the UAE.”

For those who do not have a hotel reservation, it is recommended to carry extra cash to prove sufficient funds for the duration of their stay in the country.

Sheth recommended that travelers planning to stay with relatives in Dubai have “their contact details, proof of address, and a copy of their Emirates ID card.”
