Last week a 32-year old Filipino cruise ship crew member died of self-inflicted harm. On Wednesday the US Coast Guard confirmed the latest in a series of apparent suicides among such workers trapped at sea because of the coronavirus pandemic.
British billionaire Richard Branson the founder of the Florida-based company gave no details about the death of its employee but expressed its condolences over the death.
Because of the Coronavirus pandemic, the ship was to have made its maiden voyage in March but it was canceled, So the ship has been in limbo off the coast of Florida ever seeing that, with its crew trapped on board.
