- New Delhi: After Bihar, the employment campaign (Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan) is starting in UP today. According to the data, 30 lakh migrant laborers have come back in UP during lockdown. Now the government is running a campaign to make them work under 25 different categories in their home state so that they do not have to go away from their families.Employment campaign will be conducted in these districts of UP- Yogi government of UP has started Siddharthnagar, Prayagraj, Azamgarh, Basti, Gorakhpur, Santakbir Nagar, Banda, Ambedkar Nagar, Varanasi, Ghazipur, Pratapgarh, Gonda, Maharajganj, Bahraich, Balrampur, Sultanpur. Districts like Kushinagar, Jaunpur, Hardoi, Rae Bareli, Ayodhya, Deoria, Amethi, Lakhimpur Kheri, Unnao, Shravasti, Fatehpur, Mirzapur, Jalaun and Kaushambi have been included in the scheme.What is Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan- Talking about ‘poor welfare employment campaign’, this campaign is a 125-day campaign in 116 districts in 6 states to help migrant workers.
