    State head Winfred Kretchman Baden-Württemberg said in a statement that he strongly condemned the violence. These acts are criminal actions which will need to be prosecuted. It should be condemned.




    The riots were of an “unprecedented nature” according to the region’s interior minister Thomas Strobe. The local MP of the Social Democratic Party, Sasha Binder, has previously described the violence as a “civil war-like scene”.
