Dubai: This Friday (December 4, 2020), more than 760 mosques in Dubai will host Friday prayers after Friday prayers after the namlab ‘khan kham’, authorities announced on Monday.
According to the directions of The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management, Friday prayers from December 4 will resume in the UAE.

“The suspension of Friday prayers and sermons for 766 mosques in Dubai has been lifted, and due to current circumstances, temporary mosques have been added, including 60 mosques to accommodate all mosques, Dubai residents and visitors,” Hamad Al said. Sheikh Ahmed Al Shabani, Director General, Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Affairs (IACAD) in Dubai.
The department said that entry into mosques would be regulated. In coordination with the Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management of Dubai, the IACAD entered every mosque with volunteers and controlled entry and exit for worshipers. For example, if the internal areas of mosques are full, worshipers will be directed to use the outer areas.

Rules for prayer
For Friday prayers, the number of worshipers attending will be reduced to 30 percent of capacity, with permission to pray in outdoor courtyards and broadcast on loudspeakers. The duration of Friday’s sermon shall not exceed 10 minutes.
All those attending should wear a face mask as well as bring their own public prayer, which should not be left in the mosque or shared with anyone else. The IACAD emphasized the need to follow the instructions of jumaz prayers, including the distribution of food and water.
