Groom in Dubai, girl in Jaunpur, married on Video, says “Qabul, Qabul, Qabul, Qabul”

In the Corona era, not only studies and seminars, but also weddings have started happening in a virtual way. A similar marriage took place on Thursday night. The groom was in Dubai and the bride was in Jaunpur. Both appeared through video conferencing and confessed to marriage.

The marriage of Tehreen Zaidi, daughter of Qazi Hayat, resident of Sipah Mohalla of the city, was long back from Akil Abbas Rizvi of Sultanpur. Akil Abbas works in a company in Dubai. For Nikah, the family was waiting for the lockdown to end. The lockdown ended but Akil Abbas could not get a chance to come to India due to Corona’s restrictions. Eventually the date of marriage was fixed and the marriage was done online.

On Thursday evening, Barat, numbering 25-30, including close relatives, came from Sultanpur. The Baratis were welcomed. The groom, present in Dubai, dressed up and attended the event online with his friends. He was the most versatile through video conferencing on the big screen. About ten o’clock in the night, Maulana Shamimul Hasan confessed separate marriage to the bride and groom. After this, other rituals of nikah were performed.

As per tradition in the morning, the bride left and went to her in-law’s house. The bride’s brother, Shayad Zaidi, said that due to Corona, it was not possible for the groom to come here. In this way, the process of online marriage was adopted. This has also led to social distancing. The marriage included Zakir Naseem, Sajid Abbas, Maulana Jamir, Mohammad Abbas, Hasan Saeed etc.
