Students at Brecknock Elementary School were given the opportunity to enjoy their very own personal small milkshake during their lunch time break, thanks to a program coordinated through the Garden Spot High School Health Council. High school students visited Blue Ball Elementary School, New Holland Elementary School and Brecknock Elementary School to interact with the students and encourage them to drink more milk as part of a healthy diet. The students did their best to get a milk mustache and then they were allowed to get a photo with the Health Council cow.
Shown in the photo, from left to right, are (kneeling) Isaac Adames, Jack McCarty (cow), Yadviel Rosas Rodriguez, Ben Smeltz, Gabe Brooks; (back) Health Council members, Amanda Leeland, Joseph Sharp, Hannah Hoffman, Lauren Wolfe, Amelia Mercado, Hannah Hostetler, Logan Martin and Brock Barshinger. Not shown are Julie Groft (in charge of the Coordinated School Health Council), and Kayla Straub (a teacher on the Health Council) who plan activities throughout the year for the entire district.
