Health insurance for health workers for Corona has been extended until September.

So far, 4.25 lakh people in the country have been infected with this disease, in which case the government has extended the health insurance scheme for health workers for 3 more months. That is, for those connected with health services, the benefit of Rs 50 lakh insurance scheme (50 lakh rs health insurance) will be available by the end of September. The scheme will be implemented again from June 30.

It is to be noted here that the entire expenditure of this scheme is being borne by the Ministry of Health Welfare. Which is using the National Disaster Response Fund Fund.

That is why the government announced this insurance scheme for medical staff in March. But keeping in view the situation, the scheme has been given an extension of 3 months.

Who will benefit? – The insurance scheme will benefit the doctors, nurses, medical staff, sanitation workers and some others working in the central and state government hospitals.
The announcement was made in Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (pm garib kalyan yojana) – The government announced this scheme for medical staff during the first installment of the relief package in March. This insurance scheme was announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman (finance minister nirmala sithraman) under the Prime Minister’s Poor Welfare Package worth a total of 1.70 lakh crore rupees in March.
