Al Namas and Al Baha are prone to snow and floods. Snow piled up to two and a half feet high on the roads. The rain started on Saturday night and continues on Monday. All the valleys are flooded. 15 dams were opened in Al Baha in the southern region alone. Traffic was blocked due to landslides in many places. The thunder and lightning experienced along with the rain was reminiscent of the rainy season in Kerala. Long-distance visibility was obstructed due to heavy snow, which made it difficult for the vehicle owners.
Heavy rain and snowfall occurred in Khamis Mushait, Abaha, Ballas Mar, Tanuma, Al Namaz and Sabtul Alai. Locals and foreigners alike took to the streets to enjoy the rain and snow. It is raining in the capital Riyadh, Makkah and Madinah.
