According to the data, the number of MNREGA laborers (MNREGA laborers) in these 116 districts on the MNREGA portal has reached 89.83 lakh in the month of May, while only 48.22 lakh laborers were engaged in the same month last year. Due to the return of migrant laborers, the number of MNREGA workers has increased by 86 percent. Of these 116 districts, 32 are from Bihar, 31 are from UP and 24 districts are from Madhya Pradesh. Apart from this, 22 districts are in Rajasthan, three in Jharkhand and 4 in Odisha.
The maximum increase has been made in the districts of Uttar Pradesh. The number of laborers in 31 districts of Uttar Pradesh has increased by 316 percent. At the same time, the demand for work (mnrega work) has already been 5 times. Let me tell you that a total of 17.47 lakh laborers have returned in these 31 districts of Uttar Pradesh. After this, in May, the number of people working in these 31 districts under MGNREGA has gone up to 27.78 lakhs, while last year only 6.71 lakh laborers were attached to MNREGA scheme (MNREGA SCHEME).
