The European Football Association (UEFA) confirmed on Tuesday its commitment to holding this week’s Champions League matches on time, despite the terrorist threats issued by ISIS.

A media outlet affiliated with the terrorist organization ISIS published a series of leaflets urging attacks on the stadiums hosting the Champions League quarter-final matches in Paris, Madrid, and London, during Tuesday and Wednesday.

UEFA issued a statement confirming its awareness of the alleged terrorist threats, and explained that it is in close contact with the security authorities in the cities hosting the matches.

The statement added that all matches will be held on time, with appropriate security arrangements being made to ensure the safety of everyone.

These measures include tight security reinforcements in stadiums, careful inspection of the public, and an extensive police presence in the vicinity of the stadiums.

Two matches will be held in Madrid, where Real Madrid will host the English team, Manchester City, on Tuesday, while Atletico Madrid will face the German team, Borussia Dortmund, on Wednesday.

In London, England’s Arsenal will meet Germany’s Bayern Munich on Tuesday, while Paris Saint-Germain will host Spanish Barcelona in the French capital the next day.

The Interior Ministers of France and Spain announced the tightening of security measures in the stadiums, to ensure the safety of all attendees.
