There will be some reduction in railway expenses
– under fuel saving, all zones have been asked to reduce the consumption of non-traction energy by 25 percent.
– Less people have been asked to be present in the annual GM inspection.
– Staff have been asked to use e-mail or e-office for sending files.
– Use of furniture, spare vehicles, computers, printers has been asked to reduce.
– The opening and ceremonial program has been asked to be done online.

Reduction in staff also
– No other posts should be created except for new posts related to safety.
– Review new posts created in the last 2 years and new recruitments should be banned.
– Reduce OT and TA allowances by 50 percent and other allowances by 30 to 50 percent.
– Sell diesel locos older than 31 years.
– Finish all contracts before the financial year 2018-19, which had to be completed in less than 2 years.
– Do not allow any proposal or tender unless there is a fund.
– Reduce the work done in the zone, prefer only the necessary items.
