The UAE state media later published a news report stating that two private companies “signed agreements with two Israeli companies to develop research and technology to deal with the Kovid-19”. The name of the companies has been revealed in the announcement. Information on which research will be done has not been given. There is absolutely no formal diplomatic relationship between Israel and the UAE. Due to similarity of views on Iran, it is believed that the two countries maintain close relations behind the scenes.
Will harm Israel’s efforts
Significantly, despite the recent warnings from UAE officials, the deal has come to light. According to the UAE ambassador to the United States, Israel was warned on Friday against occupying the Jordan Valley and other parts of the West Bank. The UAE said the move would harm Israel’s efforts to build an effort to improve relations with Arab countries.
