Kuwait City: Kuwait has reportedly stopped issuing work permits to Egyptian workers. Local media reported that this was disclosed by the relevant sources in the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Public Authority for Manpower.
It is reported that the decision to suspend the issuance of work permits to Egyptian workers was based on several complaints filed by employers. The suspension of work permits was based on complaints received from employers about the new regulation imposed by the Egyptian authorities on insurance fees for each worker from Egypt.

These trends have raised concerns about the transparency of the recruitment process. It is reported that the Public Authority for Manpower and the Ministry of Interior have decided to impose strict restrictions on the recruitment of Egyptian workers.
