The Interior Ministry was quoted as saying that again 1,098 drivers have been fined by traffic agencies for violating the rules despite excessive foggy weather.
Dr Ahmed Habib from the National Center of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) had already made it clear that there is a possibility of fog between Tuesday and Saturday.
The traffic police is patrolling the highways and main streets to ensure that such mistakes are not repeated.
Those who violate traffic rules are being fined Dh500.
