Dubai: World karate champions Steve Da Costa of France and Stanislav Horuna of Ukraine will lead some of the top regional karatekas to start the sport’s first-ever, on-of-its-kind online Sharjah International Forum for Martial Sports. The webinar will begin from 8 pm on Tuesday.
Organised by the Sharjah Self-Defence (SSD) Sports Club with the support of Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), the webinar will begin with regional champions, including Mohammad Abdullah Al Musaiwi, Kuwaiti duo Salman Abdullah Al Musaiwi and Ahmad Salim Al Baslaib, the UAE’s only ranked karateka, on the discussion panel.
“In general, this is a very different situation for sport, and we need to find a platform to stay relevant and to be well acquainted with the possible challenges of the future. In addition, our fighters are going through so many other challenges at this moment, and a discussion on this through a webinar will only be of help for everyone,” as per the statement by Ahmad Abdul Rahman Al Owais, CEO of SSD.
