He has prepared food for the Obamas, written 25 culinary books, hosted TV shows with Gordon Ramsay, and created extravagant meals that cost nearly $40,000 each.

But in the last two months, Vikas Khanna, an Indian origin, New York based chef, is focusing to providing millions of meals to poor Indians who have suffered immensely under the COVID-19 lockdown. Khanna was born in India and came to New York at the tender age of 20 to be a chef. She struggled initially, took up odd jobs as a dishwasher and delivery man.

As parts of India facing humanitarian crisis due to the lockdown, millions of out-of-work people don’t have access to basic necessity like food, Khanna watched the news and decided to help.
