Meta has announced the launch of a new AI model called Meta Motivo, which allows you to control the movements of a human-like digital agent, enhancing the metaverse experience.

The company confirmed that this research could pave the way for the development of fully embodied agents in virtual metaverse worlds, according to a statement issued by it.
Meta is pouring tens of billions of dollars into its AI and AR investments, raising its 2024 capital expenditure forecast to a record $37 billion to $40 billion.
Meta also launched a set of AI models for free use by developers, with the aim of promoting the development of new tools to improve its services.
As part of the new suite of tools, Meta unveiled a tool called “Video Seal,” which adds a hidden watermark to videos that makes them invisible to the naked eye, but traceable, enhancing intellectual property protection.
Plans to develop nuclear energy
As it seeks to meet growing energy demand, Meta has announced its intention to partner with nuclear power developers to add 1 to 4 gigawatts of new generating capacity in the United States by the early 2030s. The company said nuclear power will be central to its goals for artificial intelligence and environmental sustainability.
U.S. data center power consumption is projected to triple by 2030, requiring 47 gigawatts of new power generation, according to Goldman Sachs. However, companies are facing challenges meeting this demand with nuclear reactors due to regulatory hurdles and a shortage of uranium fuel supplies.
