If you ever want to sell something online, OLX is the first thing that pops up in mind. On Thursday, the Indian police were shocked after they received a complaint about an advertisement on OLX.
A man had put Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s parliamentary office in Varanasi put on sale.
According to the details, Modi’s office, located in the Gurudham Colony, was put on sale on OLX for 7.5 crores.
The man who shared the advertisement was identified as Laxmikant Ojha. Varanasi SSP Amit Kumar Pathak said that the ad was instantly removed, however, the case is currently being investigated.

Four people were arrested in the case so far, including that of the person who clicked the photo for the advertisement.
The police Indian news outlet that advertisement number ID 1612346492 was posted on OLX under the category of ‘House & Villa’ and was listed as “four-bedroom with bathroom, fully furnished ready to move” by the dealer. It carried details like, “built-up area 6500 sq ft, two-storeyed building North-East facing with car parking” The name of the property was given as ‘PMO office Varanasi’.
