Nasser bin Mansour bin Mohammed Tayran was recently appointed a member of the Shoura Council.
Tayran graduated from King Abdul Aziz University in 1999. Later, he went to the UK for higher studies. Tayran received master’s degrees in software engineering and artificial intelligence at the University of Bradford in 2005 and 2008 respectively.
He did a Ph.D. in computer science — artificial intelligence from the University of Essex in 2012.
Tayran worked as a general supervisor of risk management at King Khalid University (KKU) and as an adviser to the KKU director.
He also served as an IT department supervisor at the Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC).

Tayran also worked as the supervisor of the evaluation and academic accreditation management for engineering and computer science specializations at the ETEC, in addition to his post as a quality adviser at the commission.
He is a member of several committees and advisory boards. He is also a chairman of the supervisory committee of the decision support system project, at KKU and a member of the permanent committee for the professional development of KKU faculty members.
He is also the chairman of a committee responsible for linking educational institutions with an electronic system for accreditation at the ETEC. Tayran is also a member of the commission’s General Committee of the.
