India and Saudi Arabia are in talks to establish air bubble arrangements to facilitate uninterrupted travel between the two countries.
According to a tweet from the Indian Embassy in Riyadh, the Director General of Air Transport, Ali Rajab, General Authority of Civil Aviation as well as representatives of various Indian and Saudi carriers discussed resuming flights between India.
Saudi Arabia suspended all flights due to an increase in coronavirus cases in the country. Sources said that currently NRIs hold a visa to Saudi Arabia but are flying in India via Dubai. First they have to reach Dubai on transit or visa and then get approval to travel to Saudi Arabia. Tamil Nadu has a large number of people with valid work visas, who are facing difficulty in traveling directly to Saudi Arabia.
