On Sunday morning, under the patronage of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Adviser to the Sharjah Department of Town Planning and Survey, Engineer Salah Bin Butti Al Muhairi, inaugurated the Khorfakkan Monument, designed in the shape of a traditional Arabian Incense Burner Statue – a symbol of “Mabkhara” – and built at the entry gate of the historic city to welcome guests from all over the emirates and tourists from around the globe.

Al Muhairi said that this brand new monument is a grant by the Ruler of Sharjah, he also emphasis that fact that, this recently built monument is in line with the Sharjah Ruler’s directives to bring to light the city’s historic heritage. He also added in his statement that Khorfakkan is one of the most famous tourism, heritage and historical spot in Sharjah.
