Pakistan allows all airlines to operate, passengers can buy tickets directly

Stranded Pakistanis are no longer required to wait for special flight tickets as the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development has allowed all airlines to operate in the Pakistani airspace.




In a series of tweets, the ministry said travellers will be able to buy tickets directly from the airlines and they don’t have to wait for any calls from the consulate or the embassy.

More than 80,000 stranded Pakistani citizens have registered with the Pakistani diplomatic missions in the UAE so far. Majority of these (around 70,000) are registered with the Pakistan Consulate General in Dubai.
