Riyadh: Public Prosecution has issued a warning to those who manufacture, trade or use fireworks within the country. The warning comes ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.
Many accidents happen every year, especially among children, as bursting of firecrackers is rampant during festive celebrations. Fines and imprisonment will be imposed against those who manufacture, sell and use firecrackers.

The punishment is imprisonment up to six months and a fine of up to one lakh riyals. Prosecution said that manufacture, possession, export, import, sale, use, transport, storage and training in manufacture of explosives and firecrackers without proper permit is prohibited.
