Doha: The working hours of public sector institutions in Qatar have been announced during Ramadan. Working hours of ministries, government agencies and public institutions have been announced. Cabinet and Justice Minister Ibrahim Bin Ali Al Muhannadi announced this.

Ministries, federal agencies and public institutions will work from 9 am to 2 pm. Working hours of all government offices will be five hours a day. Late arrivals will be allowed till 10 pm. But five hours of work time must be completed. Up to 30 percent of employees in an organization will be allowed to work from home. Preference will be given to native mothers and physically challenged.

Meanwhile, in the UAE, it was announced that the working hours of private sector employees have been reduced during Ramadan. The working time was reduced by two hours. The Ministry of Human Resource Indigenization has issued an order in this regard.
The working hours of eight-hour workers will be reduced to six hours.
