Ramadan moon visible in Saudi Arabia

Ramadan 2024: There is a wave of happiness among Muslims in Saudi Arabia, because the moon of Ramadan has been sighted. Along with this, the first roza (fast) will be observed on Monday in many countries of West Asia.

Saudi Arabia’s state TV has reported that officials have sighted the moon! This means that the holy month will officially start on March 11. Ramadan 1445 will begin tonight with Taraweeh prayers after Isha, however, the crescent moon was not sighted in Oman and the Philippines today, which means the holy month will begin on March 12 in these two countries.

In India, Pakistan and Bangladesh too, the holy month of Ramzan will begin from Tuesday, March 12. In many countries of South and East Asia, the month of Razaman usually starts a day later than Saudi Arabia, that is, in these countries the holy month will start from Tuesday.

During this month, Muslims observe fast from morning till evening. Fasting during Ramadan is considered one of the five pillars of Islam. Whether Muslims fast for 29 or 30 days is based on the sighting of the moon, which depends on the beginning and end of the month. After the end of the month of Ramadan, Muslims celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr.

Giving an update, Inside the Haramain said that the crescent moon of Ramadan 1445/2024 has been sighted in Saudi Arabia! After this, Ramadan 1445/2024 will start tomorrow, 11th March 2024. After Isha prayers, Taraweeh prayers will start in the two holy mosques.

During the month of Ramadan, people of the Muslim community do not eat or drink anything from sunrise to sunset. During this time they pray and recite the Quran, as well as donate. This time the month of Ramadan is coming amid increased tension in West Asia due to Israel’s war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
