Saudi Arabia aims to strengthen efforts to expand air connectivity between Saudi Arabia and the countries of the world and support achieving the objectives of the Aviation Strategy and the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services.
The General Authority of Civil Aviation in Saudi Arabia, represented by the Air Transport and International Cooperation Sector, announced the start of operation Mauritanian Airlines– For the first time – with regular flights between the Kingdom and the Republic of Mauritania on the route (Nouakchott – Medina), with two flights per week, starting from April 21, 2024.
The General Authority of Civil Aviation in Saudi Arabia also announced the authorization for airlines China Southern Air By starting regular flights between the People’s Republic of China and the Kingdom starting April 16, 2024; This step aims to:
- Strengthening efforts to expand air connectivity between Saudi Arabia and the countries of the world.
- Keeping up with the growing demand for travel between the Kingdom and China,
- Expanding the air transport network for passengers and cargo flights.
- Opening new and promising opportunities for growth, and enhancing economic cooperation and Saudi-Chinese relations.
- Supporting the achievement of the objectives of the Aviation Strategy and the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.
- Making the Kingdom a global logistics platform.
- Opening new horizons for travel that are compatible with the objectives of the National Aviation Strategy.
