Saudi Arabia bans sale of 70 medicinal herbs and plants

More than 70 medicinal herbs and plants have been banned from sale.
Local media have reported that saudi food and drug authority has banned the sale of more than 70 medicinal herbs and plants. Their goal is to educate consumers and labourers in herbal shops.

Includes prohibition of writing medical charges.
The new rules include the prohibition of writing any medical charges on the label of any plant, medicinal herb, or health preparation.

Further, as per the rules, the display, advertisement, sale of herbs and medicinal plants has been prohibited as per the list published on the website of the Food and Drug Authority. The Saudi Food and Drug Authority has further confirmed that it will complete its inspection visits to herbal shops in all sectors.
