Saudi Arabia.. Reducing customs duties on imports
According to a statement issued by the Authority, 0.15% of the value of imported goods will now be collected as a fee for processing customs data. In addition, a new fee of 15 riyals has been set for individual shipments received through online stores from outside the Kingdom, whose value does not exceed 1,000 riyals.
Changes in previous import duties
Before the new decision was implemented, customs duties on imports included paying 100 riyals for each container to be x-rayed, 100 riyals for the information exchange service, and 20 riyals for processing customs data.
Cancellation of customs fees for exports
For exports, the new decisions included canceling the financial fee for services such as customs data processing, lead stamping, porterage at land ports, X-ray inspection, and exchange of customs data information, as well as sample analysis in private laboratories. This change comes in the context of supporting and enhancing Saudi exports.
