Saudi Arabia implements projects in 6,154 mosques worth half a billion riyals

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced today, Monday, that Implementation of more than 6 thousand mosques in All over the Kingdom, with a value approaching half a billion Saudi riyals, within 6 months.

Saudi Press Agency reported “SPA” The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in the Kingdom said that operations, cleaning, maintenance, furnishing and restoration projects were implemented in 6,153 mosques in the Kingdom during the first half of 2024 at a total cost of about 477 million Saudi riyals.

The report issued by the Saudi Ministry of Projects and Maintenance Agency confirmed several matters, namely:
1- Establishing projects for the maintenance, cleaning and operation of 5,397 mosques and prayer halls, at a value of 363 million riyals.

2- Completion of the project to develop and modernize the air conditioning systems in the mosques of Miqat Al-Juhfah, land pilgrims, Al-Taneem, and Al-Mash’ar Al-Haram, at a cost of more than 15 million riyals.

3- Completion of restoration projects for 3 mosques and an administrative building at a cost of 14 million riyals.

4- Implementing the glass partitions project – in its first phase – which contributes to rationalizing 60% of electrical energy in 683 mosques and prayer halls, at a value of 48 million riyals.

5 – Completion of furnishing 66 mosques and prayer halls with an area of ​​(56761.13) square meters, at a total value of approximately 7 million riyals.

6 – Completion of maintenance, cleaning and operation of 4 buildings affiliated with the Ministry, at a cost of 31 million riyals.
