Saudi Arabia supports the employment of 153 thousand citizens with 3.79 billion riyals

1.4 million citizens, both male and female, have benefited from training, employment and empowerment support programmes in Saudi Arabia.

The Director General explained Human Resources Development Fund In Saudi Arabia, Turki bin Abdullah Al-Jawini said that the fund contributed to Employment support More than 153 thousand citizens, both male and female, to work in private sector establishments during the first half of this year at a cost of 3.79 billion riyals.

Al-Jawini pointed out that the total amounts disbursed for training, employment and empowerment support programs provided by the Fund to private sector establishments during that period amounted to 3.79 billion riyals, from which 1.4 million citizens, both male and female, benefited, in addition to about 100 thousand establishments operating in all vital sectors in the Kingdom benefiting from the Fund’s programs and products.

Al-Jawini stressed that the Fund is keen to keep pace with the development renaissance witnessed by the Kingdom in all fields, and the accompanying development and changes in the needs of the business sector, and in the demand for the skills of national cadres. It also works continuously to develop and enhance the skills of the sons and daughters of the nation, raise their level of participation in the labor market, and encourage the private sector to contribute to localization, in addition to strengthening partnership with relevant parties in training, employing and empowering national cadres, and increasing their competitiveness and sustainability in the labor market.

He added that the Fund’s new strategy has contributed to enhancing the benefit of individuals and establishments from the Fund’s programs and services, stressing the Fund’s continued efforts to keep pace with the changes in the labor market and meet its requirements, and taking into account the needs and priorities related to the sectors, in addition to working on developing training support, empowerment and guidance programs directed at national cadres, which contributes to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in developing human capabilities and the labor market strategy.
